Nina Agdal Passes Out During Steamy SI Swimsuit Photo Shoot

$

Everyone likes to think that modeling is just “being in front” of camera and occasionally “rolling around” while making pouty faces. It’s not. Well, it is — but that isn’t as simple as it sounds.

Ok, maybe it is as simple as it sounds, but some things are so simple they’re complicated. You can get dehydrated during those long shoots out in the hot sun of whatever tropical paradise they’ve got you stripping in. Case and point: Nina Agdal hit the deck while shooting her most recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition after losing consciousness, presumably because she’s so hot her brain ceased functioning. Don’t worry, though, she’s fine. Like the seasoned vet she is, Agdal dug deep and got right back in the game.

Happy Monday, everybody!

GOLF BABE ALERT: Elise Lobb Has A Beautiful, Um, Swing

$

Despite the fact that it’s played by squatty men in their golden years, golf is pretty much like every other sport: dominated by the tall and fit. How else would you explain the recent influx of underwear models posting their objectively excellent swings on Instagram? Happenstance? You think there’s something in the bottled water Leonardo DiCaprio serves on his yacht?

(Don’t answer that last one.)

The truth is, many of the qualities that make these smoking hot women so smoking hot also make them scratch handicaps. It’s science. Longer limbs equals more centrifugal force, which equals faster club speed, which means they don’t have to swing so damn hard to hit a golf ball the requisite distance — unlike you, who tries to take out all your sexual frustration every time you set foot on a tee box. Just ask Division I-golfer-turned-Victoria’s-Secret-model Kelly Rohrbach, who has one of the most effortless follow-throughs you’re ever going to see. Trust us, we’ve looked at it from all angles.

Enter Elise Lobb, a social media pioneer in being fun to look at, who excels at using metal sticks to move small objects hundreds of yards with staggering precision.

Breathtaking…

Scorching Hot Models Play Basketball In Thongs To Support Gilbert Arenas

Gilbert Arenas took to social media to opine on the attractiveness of female basketball players, taking the same line of logic as the strip club DJs who started the Legends Football League. “They have few #cutiepies,” the former NBA All-Star wrote on Instagram. “But theres a whole alotta #beanpies running around.” “Beanpies,” in case you’re wondering, is an unflattering term for a woman’s appearance.

“If #skylardiggins came out like this,I dont care if she missed every layup..imma buy season tickets and I dont even know where the f*** #tulsa is hahahaha,” he added, because he clearly thinks people watch sports for the purposes of sexual stimulation.

Suffice it to say that Arenas’ take on the WNBA was not well received. (You can read all about the backlash, here.) But not every female basketball player on Earth disagrees with his stance that the WNBA needs to sex it up if they want to grow in popularity.

“I’m all about empowering women,” said former Division-I guard-turned-Instagram model, Melody Rae. “And if wearing sexy attire helps to promote the game in any way I’m all for it.”

To prove Arenas’ point, Rae made this video. In terms of whether it advances the cause of gender equality or reduces women’s sports to a burlesque show, we have no comment. We also don’t have any saliva left. Watch it below while we grab a glass of water.

Lenny Dykstra Defends Pete Rose While Dressed As Santa At A Strip Club

You may remember Lenny Dykstra from such hits as being the feared leadoff hitter for the New York Mets who won a World Series ring in 1986; serving six months in prison for bankruptcy fraud; or claiming that he blackmailed umpires.

Despite the last two setbacks, Dykstra says that his life is going great, and here’s evidence: he’s playing Santa at Vivid Cabaret, a New York strip club. That’s where an intrepid New York Daily News reporter tracked him down and peppered him with questions about MLB’s recent decision to uphold Pete Rose’s ban from baseball.

“The three best players in the whole history of the game aren’t in (the Hall of Fame) — (Barry) Bonds, (Pete) Rose and (Roger) Clemens. Something’s wrong with that picture,” Dykstra, the former Met, said Wednesday atop a rooftop bar dressed as Santa Claus, and with some fetching female elves from the Vivid Cabaret draped over his shoulders.

When asked if he thought that Rose would ever get into the Hall of Fame, Dykstra said:

“No. Never. He’ll never get in. It’s written in the books, after (Bart) Giamatti died,” Dykstra, 52, said.

Giamatti banned Rose from baseball in 1989, after evidence surfaced that Rose bet on baseball while managing the Reds. And writers have refused to vote in into the Hall of Fame once he became eligible.

And the future for Dykstra? He says he’s writing a memoir.

“Every day above ground’s a good day,” said Dykstra. “It’s about bringing something to the party, kind of give people hope. Without hope we got nothing. I’m doing a big book, moving the chains, getting some first downs, slowly but surely we’ll get in the end zone.”

Bay Area Strip Clubs Be On Alert: The Bucks Are In Town To Play The Warriors

$

You may have heard by now that Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd is pretty pissed over the behavior of certain members of his team earlier this week. The Bucks broke the Warriors’ 24-game winning streak on Saturday in Milwaukee — and there was much rejoicing (a little too much, according to the Warriors. But more on that in a minute).

Then the Bucks left for a four-game road trip, swinging through California for three games against the Lakers, Clippers and Warriors, and then the Suns. With a three-day break before meeting the Lakers, on Monday night certain Bucks players visited an LA strip club at stayed out until at least 2 a.m., as documented by TMZ. The Bucks then lost to the Lakers on Tuesday, 113-95. The Lakers.

Kidd was not pleased, and said that he told his players so. But then he said this to the press:

The problem with Kidd’s youth excuse is that the four players photographed at the strip club have a combined experience of 22 years, with the least experienced one being four years. There may have been other players there — I don’t know.

But what is clear is that the Bucks are 10-17 in the Eastern Conference Central, in last place — and with the Cavaliers, Bulls and Pacers ahead of them in the division, they’re not going anywhere. So they treated the Golden State win like their championship, and had to go celebrate.

Sad. really. But like Kidd said, the team as a whole is young. Better times are ahead.

But probably not tonight.

The Warriors are still fuming over what they say was unprofessionalism by the Bucks during their loss in Milwaukee — the seventh game of a seven-game road trip for Golden State. Klay Thompson, for one, called the Bucks classless for the way they acted during garbage time in the game. Stephen Curry said that the Bucks were “having a lot of fun. It was a big game for them. Friday will be a big game for us.”

Friday is here. Milwaukee and the Warriors tip off at Oracle Arena at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on Fox Sports and CSN Bay Area. Watch it live or, you know, record it while you’re out at the club.

Steve Harvey Announces Wrong Winner In Miss Universe Pageant On Live TV

Not so fast, Miss Colombia.

I don’t usually watch beauty pageants (lie detector needle rips paper), but even I’m feeling sorry for Miss Colombia here. Miss Universe Pageant host Steve Harvey announced her as the big winner on Sunday night, on live TV, and then discovered that he had screwed up … the winner was actually Miss Philippines.

Yikes.

Survey says … FUBAR.

A screwup of major proportions to be sure. So now that Harvey has been dropped into the dunk tank, I guess the only thing left is former Miss Universe Pageant owner Donald Trump gloating over the situation. Oh, here it is, right on cue:

There are so few sure things in life: including, we now know, announcing correct pageant winners. But we can always rely on Donald Trump being an asshole.

Ronda Rousey’s Butt Now Features Painted-On Swimwear

Between her scheduled “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig and upcoming role in Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Roadhouse” reboot, we’re beginning to believe that Holly Holm’s foot did more than knock out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, it knocked her in…INTO THE GLAMOROUS WORLD OF SHOW BUSINESS THAT IS!!!

Ok, we’ll let ourselves out.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition senior editor M.J. Day posted this lovely behind-the-scenes snapshot of Rousey’s lower half on Tuesday, which pretty much guarantees the dethroned Bantamweight champ a spot in the latest issue’s February release. It also lets us know how far away we are from a rematch with reigning champion Holly Holm.

Oh well, consider stuff like this an acceptable consolation…

CBS Rejects Super Bowl Strip Club Ad: But Let’s Look, Ahem, Behind The Scenes

$

scorescommercialsAnd so we have the first rejected ad of Super Bowl 50: the New York strip club Scores says it was all set to shell out $5 million for a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl, but CBS shot them down. Scores is now left with a broken heart … and a bunch of free publicity at being the “naughty” commercial from which kids and soccer moms had to be protected.

But are we falling for that? This is Super Bowl 50, after all, and some of us know the drill.

1. Put ad with questionable content/boobs on YouTube. 2. Offer $5 million to CBS to get it on Super Bowl. 3. Await rejection notice that you know is coming, because you’ve read the NFL ad guidelines. 4. Wait for free publicity to roll in, as the internet checks out your banned ad online. 5. Profit.

Here it is. Play CBS exec and decide for yourself:

Pretty tame, as you can see. It’s not half as racy as this one, for Carl’s Jr., which was shown during Super Bowl XLIX (on NBC):

That ad got 10 million views before it even appeared on the Super Bowl. But Scores knows that, even though their models are wearing more clothes than Charlotte McKinney was for Carl’s Jr., their ad had no chance. It’s for a strip club, fergoshsakes, which wants you to go to their web site and ogle strippers in real time.

Remember kids, ask you parents’ permission before using their credit card!

Carl’s Jr. has also used Paris Hilton, Kate Upton (one which was actually banned), Nina Agdal, Katherine Webb and Emily Ratajkowski in past ads. But viral views can actually be more valuable than actual TV views, and that’s likely what Scores is hoping for.

Whoa, Jeff Hornacek’s Daughter. Wow.

Lindsey Vonn And Caroline Wozniacki’s SI Swimsuit Body Paint Videos Are Cool

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition doesn’t hit newsstands (do those even still exist?) until next week, but the photos and behind-the-scenes videos of the photoshoots are already making their way around the internet. So if you’re one of those softcore porn purists who refuse to enjoy mostly naked photography on the glossy pages of a magazine, now’s your chance to turn back. For the rest of civilization, who undoubtedly do give negative shits about how they consume nudey pics, below is some footage (and corresponding screenshots) of Olympic downhill gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and 18th-ranked WTA superstar Caroline Wozniacki getting their naughty bits airbrushed inside a beach bungalow for their body paint spreads in the magazine’s 52nd swimsuit edition.

If this doesn’t cut it for you, SI now gives you the option to view the shoots in virtual reality from the comfort of your favorite municipal library desktop computer that I’m 100% certain you’re using right now. Happy Presidents Day!

Chrissy Teigen Destroys Body Shamers With Her Jedi Twitter Powers

Down at your local supermarket you’ll find these paper items called “magazines”, which would no longer exist save for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. The latest one came out today, and Chrissy Teigen is making her seventh appearance inside.

This is a great and rare feat, akin to Terry Bradshaw’s four Super Bowl rings, or James Harden passing the ball. But if I know social media (and I think I do), there are trolls about who are ready to criticize any little thing about Teigen that they think is not up to snuff.

Let’s look at the chronology of events:

So excited to announce my 7th appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition – I had to count that a million times before I believed it! My @si_swimsuit family, I love you! There is nothing like being a part of this brand and this issue. My shoot was in beautiful Zanzibar and shot by the incomparable @ruvenafanador, who is just as wonderful, kind, serene and lovely as everyone has ever told me. He thinks about every little aspect of a photo, every detail. HMU by @peterbutlerhair and @joannegair I LOVE you and am so lucky you allow me to be in your chairs! @mj_day and @darciebaum and @ja_neyney @hillarydrezner and @karencarpk – you are my family. I am proud to be in the issue but SO proud of all the work you guys put into this every single year. I just love you all. Jesus this is dramatic I know! And to all my fellow @si_swimsuit girls, congrats on a beautiful issue!!! I will see you this week in MIAMI!!!! I can't wait to kiss all your beautiful faces!

A photo posted by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

Then the trolls emerged. Sample:

l.a.6side: No ass, no curves and you look crosse eyed before trying to make America better you should work on yourself

Teigen came back strong, with that kind of reply that maintains one’s own dignity but completely trashes the attackers.

The @si_swimsuit edition is on stands tooooo-day! (Shoutout to everyone dissecting every little part of my bod in the last comment thread, you’re all really wonderful, kind, flawless beauties – I can tell from your pages!! ❤️❤️❤️)

In addition to her physical gifts, Teigen is also pretty funny. The full package.

Wait … and she can cook?

Busty Woman Sucking At Tennis Is Sports Media In A Nutshell

It’s tricky writing about sports in a meaningful way, mostly because sports aren’t an essential part of life, so no matter how profound a point you think you’re making, you’re ultimately talking about an activity they have kids do at summer camp. Morality politics it is not.

Some sports media outlets choose to slog on in the fight for legitimacy, authoring well-researched, thoughtful articles about the incredible lives of iconic athletes, while others throw their hands up in the air and succumb to the lure of the lowest common denominator. This is exactly what that looks like…

(We’re not complaining.)

When you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in/around Boston or New York or Chicago, you post pictures of yourself drinking Guinness in some dingy pub basement. One of your eyes is probably half closed and there’s just the faintest hint of vomit on your shirt, which is bright green and says something stupid, like “Kiss my shamrocks I’m drunk!” When you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Miami, however, the protocol is a bit different (and markedly less depressing).

The 42nd-best women’s tennis player on Earth celebrated the holiday in the 305 by showing off not one, but two oh-shit-I’m-gonna-stop-scrolling-through-my-Instagram-feed selfies in a neon green and pink bikini. Sure, is it as authentically Irish as a cable-knit sweater and a pair of wool pants? No. But then again, taking half-nude photographs of yourself in the bathroom and putting them on social media is about as quintessentially St. Patrick’s Day as eating a whole uncooked potato, so Genie Bouchard really nailed it this year. Well played, ma’am.

Cassie Sturtz of Pine Forest High School (NC) was suspended for two games for ignoring the ball and delivering a flying tackle on her Pinecrest High opponent during a girls soccer game last week. Initially Sturtz wasn’t even given a red card. Oh well, that’s American soccer. Let’s take a look.

I am outraged! That was never offsides just then!

Fayetteville Observer:

Ernie Fisher, regional supervisor for soccer officials in the Cape Fear region, said that the officials calling the game originally did not assess Sturtz a penalty. However, Fisher said the officials conferred shortly after the game ended and agreed Sturtz should have been called for a flagrant contact foul.

Pine Forest officials said that Sturtz will also be disciplined by the school.

The 4-1 loss was Pine Forest’s first of the season.

And now, of course, a call for video replay in high school soccer:
